A person should quarantine if they feel they have been exposed to COVID-19 to see if they become sick. You should quarantine if you have been in close-contact with someone who has COVID-19. Close contact includes caring for or having direct contact with someone who has COVID-19, being within 6 feet of someone with COVID-19 for more than 15 minutes, or sharing drinking and eating utensils.

If someone has COVID-19, they should isolate themselves away from people to prevent spreading the disease. You should isolate yourself from others if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19.

Follow the flow-charts below to determine how long you should quarantine or isolate for.
